Holt

Holt · for parents drowning in school email

Stop searching
your inbox. Ask Holt.

Holt is an app for parents. It reads the school, sports, and activity email you already receive — from schools, teachers, teams, clubs, and activity apps — pulls out the dates, deadlines, and payments buried in it, and answers your questions about the week ahead. Ask in the app, or out loud through Siri.

Where's the game Saturday? What's due this week? Who is Jacob's teacher again? The answers are all sitting in twenty emails from six different senders. Holt reads them, so you can just ask.

Hey Siri…

Ask Holt what's on today

Today, Jacob has soccer at 6:30 — the bus leaves school at 5:15, and it's the white kit.

Try another

“What's on today” and “what needs me” work through Siri. The rest you ask in the app.

What Holt does

The answers were always in there.

What arrives

  • ParentSquareWeekly Bulletin — Burns Park Elementary
  • SkywardFood Service Balance Notification
  • Coach DanaRe: Fwd: Saturday — READ PLEASE
  • Burns Park PTOPicture Day is coming!!
  • Mrs. Ellery5th grade DIA trip — form attached
  • …and fourteen more this week

What you can ask

  • What’s on today?
  • What needs me this week?
  • What time does the bus leave Thursday?
  • Do I owe the school anything?
  • Who is Jacob’s teacher?
  • Did anything change since Friday?

Holt doesn’t hand you another list to read. It reads the mail so the answer is there when you ask — including when the school quietly moves practice.

What Holt isn't

It's not a monitoring tool. Holt doesn't read your child's messages, track their location, or report on them. It works on the mail you already receive as a parent.

It's not another app to check. It's something you ask when you need it, and otherwise forget about. There's no feed, no streak, no badge count. The whole point is to give you an hour back, not to find a new place to spend one — if Holt ever needs your attention more than the inbox did, it has failed.

It's not always right. Holt reads email automatically, and sometimes it will misread a time or miss a message. Every item shows the email it came from, so you can check in one tap. For anything that really matters, check the original — Holt is a prompt, not proof.

Your data

Asking to read your email is a lot to ask.

So here is the whole of it, in plain words. The long version is in the privacy policy, and it says the same thing.

Your email is never used to train AI

Holt uses AI to read a school email and pull out the date and the deadline. The company that provides it is contractually barred from training on anything we send — that's a contract, not a setting someone has to remember to leave switched on. Holt trains nothing of its own, and nothing about you is attached to what gets sent.

Holt doesn't keep your email

It keeps the practice time and the $12 you owe. Not the message, not attachments. And mail from anyone you haven't confirmed as a school, team, or club is read and immediately forgotten — most of your inbox never gets stored at all.

You can take it all back

One click disconnects your mailbox, and Holt's access is properly revoked at Google — not just forgotten on our side. One more deletes your account and everything in it, for good. No email to support, no waiting.

Holt never sends email, never deletes anything, and never touches your child's accounts. It reads. That's all it can do.

Get the hour back.

Holt is in a small closed beta while it learns more schools. It's free, and it stays free for everyone in the beta.
